Resource Productions is a Youth and Community Video Production Company, operating as a Social Enterprise. We are led by Young People and seek to reinvest our profit to provide free workshops for young people and Community Groups. We have worked on several uScreen “live” workshops as part of the overall uScreen programme.
“uScreen has been a challenging and rewarding programme and this is just the beginning, we have accrued an amazing amount of contacts and partners - whom we look forward to working with through the uScreen Community Fund (in partnership with Future Creative) in 2012”
Dom Oliver, MD, Resource Productions
Two disabled young people, who were engaged through Filmable, have continued to volunteer with us and will be helping us co-lead with Future Creative on the uScreen Community Fund later this year.
‘My personal experience with Filmable has changed my life dramatically’
I joined Resource Productions and helped out on a film set as a make-up artist which led me on to write and shoot my poem.
I wrote a poem called ‘Don’t Judge Me’ it is about all types of disabilities. I wrote this poem as I have a disability myself. I am wheelchair Bound and know what it is like to be bullied and feel very insecure.
I was lost until I managed to do this - uScreen made me feel I am found and that I have a voice.”
Stephanie Howell, 21
